QMCS 200: Introduction to Computer Technology and Business Applications
What is QMCS 200?

In this course, students will be prepared to use computers in their lives and in a business environment. Students will acquire the knowledge and application of basic computing fundamentals so they are better able to purchase computers, diagnose and solve computer problems, use and build a local area network/home network and understand their importance in business, and use the computer effectively in their current lives and in a business environment. As a member of a team, each student will be actively engaged in learning about computer concepts and business software applications (e.g. Excel, Access) that are necessary for running a business. Each team will transfer the concepts and skills learned in the course as they assist organizations in the community with their technology needs. This course fulfills the second-level Computer Competency requirement in the core curriculum.
